In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six runaways from city life embark on a silent retreat. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect. Filled with awkward humor, this strange and compassionate new play constructed almost entirely out of silence with relatively little actual dialogue asks how we address life’s biggest questions when words fail us. At age 16, Greg Morton got his first job at a local department store, as a P.A. announcer. That same voice that grabbed the attention of shoppers, recently wowed the judges on the season 14 premier of "America’s Got Talent." Howie Mandel said, “I can’t believe there isn’t a banner with your name on it in Vegas!” After 35 years of entertaining audiences worldwide -- opening for Celine Dion, Harry Connick Jr. and Luther Vandross at Radio City Music Hall -- appearing on Just for Laughs, Comedy Central’s "Premium Blend," "Comics Unleashed," and his own Dry Bar Comedy special, entitled, "I Started Out as a Baby" -- he received a standing ovation, and four yeses for his "Star Wars" routine. The force is definitely with this man. [less-]

The iconic film "Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner", starring Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier and Katharine Hepburn, premiered in 1967 — just six months after anti-miscegenation laws were struck down by the Supreme Court in "Loving v. Virginia". Adapting the piece for the stage in 2013 was a tall order: A lot about modern society had changed, and the film’s mega-stars had long-since passed away. Yet racial tensions continue to divide the country more than 50 years later. Playwright Todd Kreidler was up to the task, though, and managed to bring to the stage a compelling drama that speaks to today’s sensitivities, and even opting for a less certain ending that leaves the door open for conversation around the topic of inter-racial relationships. See "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" through a modern lens at Scottsdale's Don Bluth Theatre. [less-]

Considered by many to be the Great American Novel, "The Great Gatsby" is at once titillating, fascinating and shocking in its portrayal of The Jazz Age that was soon to disappear from the American landscape. In this frst authorized adaptation since 1926, Simon Levy brings the humor, irony, pathos and loveliness of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s American classic to the stage. Navigate the languid atmosphere of wealth and privilege with Nick Carraway as he observes the glittering, elaborate parties of his neighbor, the infamous and illusive Jay Gatsby. Enjoy the romantic ambience of elaborate dance numbers set in a beautiful art-deco theme. "The Great Gatsby"’s sharp depiction of the “American Dream” resonates anew for each generation. [less-]

Kristine Levine is a stand-up comedian and radio personality originally from Portland, Oregon and newly transplanted to Tucson, Arizona. As a comedian, her refreshing candor and unflinching, twisted perspectives on life, love and dysfunction have earned her a reputation as a biting, brutal cross between Lenny Bruce and Roseanne Barr. Yet underneath her "shocking" exterior, Kristine is as genuine and disarming in real life as she is for a rollicking hour onstage. Simultaneously empowering and endearing, she gleefully plunders uncharted stand-up territory as a sweetly ambivalent "every-gal," who both women and men fear--yet they're inexplicably drawn to her.
